COMPANY HISTORY:

Giering Metal Finishing, Inc. began its establishment back in the late 1930's when the founder, George Giering II, hand painted dental chairs with a brush. When World War II erupted, his finishes opened doors for government finishing contracts for armed forces coatings. This type of work caused Giering to evolve into electrostatic finishing methods, driving the brush to extinction. By 1953, the company was incorporated and the Giering name spread throughout the Northeastern manufacturing industry. The business diversified its finishing capabilities to accommodate any customer's finishing requirement. Through the 1960's, Giering Metal Finishing, Inc. offered degreasing, pretreatments, plating, automated finishing lines, and hand-spray, paving the way for an early success. George had a strong experienced staff behind him to guide the company through tough times. His son, George Giering, III, eventually took over in 1969 after the death of his father. With a degree from Norwich University business administration, George expanded the company fourfold. He integrated both powder coating and electro coating technology into the company. These expansions give Giering Metal Finishing, Inc. the competitive edge in the industry and have made Giering Metal Finishing, Inc. what it is today.
